Book review of the book Slam

 

I have read the book ´´Slam´´ by the great author  Nick Hornby.

This book is about the sixteen year old boy Sam who lives with his mother in London. His biggest interests is skateboarding and girls, but he also loves art and design. Sam´s best friends are called Rabbit and Rubbish and they also loves to skate. They use to skate together in Grind park which is a skating park in London.

When he meets the gourgeous girl Alicia, he fell in love right at the time. Sam met Alicia at his mothers party , and soon they is a couple. In the beginning of their relationship they spend much time together, they sleep together and they can´t resist having sex. Eventually Sam get´s enough of Alicia and they break up. After a couple of weeks without talking, Sam get´s a phonecall from Alicia. Alicia tells him that she is pregnant and that Sam is the father. When Sam get´s to know this, he get´s scared and runs away to a town called Hastings. Alicia thinks that he is a coward and she get´s angry because of Sam´s reaction. In Hastings Sam use his time to think about what´s going to happen in the future, is he going to be a dad in the age of sixteen? How will their parents react? He also thinks about how Alicia and Sam are going to take responsibility for the baby.

 

 

 

Oppgave 7. Miljøskildring

Fotball banen

Når klokken slår 18.45, er jeg klar til og jogge ut på fotball banen. Flomlysene står på fullt og det er en kald og fuktig høst kveld. Jeg tar på meg keeperhanskene, snører på meg fotball skoene og er klar til kamp. 

Det er tid for kick-off, kampen sparkes i gang og jeg føler meg klar for kamp. I begynnelsen av kampen er jeg ganske nervøs, men etter hvert så jeg kommer inn i den intensive atmosfæren føler jeg meg i gang. 

Vi spiller mot Bryne. Viking vs Bryne pleier å være en jevn og tøff kamp, begge lagene er gode og er de to største rivalene i Rogaland. Bryne-laget ruller opp et fint angrep, spissen til bryne dribler først en mann, så to mann, å der er han alene med keeper. Plutselig flyr forsvareren på laget mitt inn i beina på spissen til Bryne. Dommeren blåser, tar opp det røde kortet og dømmer straffespark. Ballen legges på straffe merket og jeg har en god følelse inni meg. ´´Viking Hordene´´begynner å synge navnet mitt, ´´Aslak, klapp, klapp, klapp, Aslak, klapp, klapp, klapp, Aslak Falch han står i mål´´.  Dommeren blåser i fløyten, og Bryne spilleren skyter. Jeg slenger meg til venstre, ballen går til venstre, jeg holder ballen og føler meg som en helt. Jeg får sto applaus av ´´Hordene´´ og føler at jeg har gjort en god innsats. Dommeren blåser av kampen, resultatet blir 1-0, og jeg går inn til garderoben.
